Southwest has many beautiful outdoor parks, natural reservoirs and vantage points to offer. From signal hill on the far west side, to the centrally-located Glenmore Reservoir (view on google maps) , with its beautiful surrounding reserve and park, to Prince’s Island Park and Eau Claire Market on the north edge of the City’s downtown core, the southwest is a park-like quadrant with many natural attractions. Calgary’s downtown core is also located in the Southwest quadrant and brings vibrancy and life to this area. The downtown core is a hub for business and entertainment, containing the Canadian head offices of various major oil & gas corporations, several shopping centres including TD Square and the famous Stephen Avenue Walk, the culturally and historically significant street where Calgary began.
